Moving home later in life perhaps after retirement or the loss of a loved one can be understandably difficult for some people with worries and concerns about the moving process becoming overwhelming.

I work with private clients who are looking for support with planning and organising all aspects of a move, sometimes working with family members who need support with the move due to distance or their own work and family commitments. 

 

I am also happy to work with referrals from Retirement Living Developers, Care and Nursing Homes, Solicitors, Estate Agents and Wealth Management Companies.

What aspects of the move can I help with? 

​

  • Helping you make decisions on downsizing your furniture and belongings

  • Organising the sale, donation, recycling or clearance of unwanted furniture or belongings in an ethical manner

  • Liaising with auction houses

  • Sourcing reputable clearance quotes to handle clearance needs including clearing of lofts, garages and sheds 

  • Sourcing and managing reputable removals

  • Arranging disposal of confidence papers 

  • Support with change of address and utility notifications 

  • Basic furniture floor planning for the new home 

  • Move day support including closing down the home you are leaving 

  • Unpacking and setting up in your new home 

  • Liaising and updating family members or third parties via call or video call

 

Every client is different and deserves a positive move experience which is why I work with you to create a Move with Confidence Plan that is personalised to meet your individual needs and circumstances.

Due to this service being personalised, prices are indicated following an initial consultation call.  A 50% deposit is payable upfront at the time of commencing work with you. 

Dawn helped our parents with a downsizing move from Market Harborough to Stockport, she spent 20 hours with them over a period of a few weeks helping them decide what furniture to take and then clearing out the kitchen cupboards and utility room. She sourced and managed removals which was a big help. She organised their paperwork and created a simple filing system and helped with all the change of address notifications.
